Saws and Sawing (Workshop Practice)

File Size: 11.39 Mb

Description
The saw is not only one of the oldest but perhaps one of the most important tools in the craftsman's armoury. It is also, without doubt, one that has suffered a great deal of abuse over the years.

The author, therefore, makes no apology for introducing a book designed to cover the whole subject as widely as possible, within the limits of available space of course, and to include in it some practical notes on the use of both hand and machine saws.

In its preparation the following firms have provided information and illustrations: Messrs. James Neill Limited of Sheffield, Wad kin Limited of Leicester, W. J. Meddings Limited of lvybridge,
Devon, Black and Decker of Maidenhead and Peter Gee of Dereham, Norfolk. Their valuable and welcome assistance is hereby gratefully acknowledged
